​AUTOMATED REFURBISHMENT SYSTEM

Sydney Steel Refurbishing Pty Ltd located in Wetherill Park, has an innovative scaffold component cleaning system. The Automated Refurbishment System (patent pending number 2005220267) is the only automated  system in Australia which shot blasts components (to a class 2.5 finish) before immediately spray painting with an enamel protective coating.

The system has been operating successfully for over 4 years and can deliver 20 to 50 tonnes per day of refurbished scaffold components.

One additional feature is not just the ability to blast and paint (dress up the scaffold components) but to give proper opportunity to visually inspect each and every component and identify any defects.  This then gives the owner of the scaffold system the opportunity to weed it out of their system then have it repaired appropriately or remove it from their scaffold system.

Dipping of components is quick and cheap but it is only an illusion. After time there can actually be more paint than steel, therefore, covering up potentially life threatening defective scaffold. Many components in use today could be over 30 years old with internal rust hidden under layers of paint.
